RONDA 1 COMPLETADA EN FIJI

La quinta etapa del WCT arranco hoy en Cloudbreak con olas de 1 a 1,5 metros y donde se completo la Ronda 1 . 

Michel Bourez, vencedor de la etapa de Rio de Janeiro, sigue en buen momento de forma y se clasifico para la ronda 3 de gran forma , a pesar de la excelente prestacion de Brett Simpson, el power surfing de local de tahiti se impuso. 

A pesar de comenzar bien su heat , el campeon del mundo Mick Fanning acabaria en ultimo lugar y relegado a al repesca , con el goofy Fredy Patacchia logrando el primer tubo del dia y el pase directo a Ronda 3.

Otro de los top que comenzaron mal fue Taj Burrow, que acabo en último en una heat vencida por su compatriota australiano Mitch Coleborn. 

Kelly Slater, catual defensor del trofeo en Fiji, comenzo con una victoria ante Jeremy Flores y el vencedor de los triales, el local Isei Tokovu.Gabriel Medina tambien se impuso a Kolohe Andino y Dion Atkinson.

Sebastian Zietz fue otro destacado imponiedose a Josh Kerr y Alejo Muniz. En la heat 9 Jordy Smith logro el score mas elevado del dia. Jordy estuvo muy fuerte acabando con un total de 17.13 puntos, dexando paar ronda 2 a Miguel Pupo y Aritz Aranburu.

Owen Wright, Julian Wilson y John John Florence avanzaron directos a la ronda 3.
